Dear GhanaWeb reader,
Finally, the country’s air borders have been opened and many Ghanaians are excited to travel despite bearing the cost of the mandatory coronavirus test at the Kotoka International Airport.
President Nana Akufo-Addo continues to remind Ghanaians that coronavirus is still active and wearing face masks in public is mandatory and bound by law.
Those who fail to comply with the law commit an offence and are liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than one thousand penalty units and not more than five thousand penalty units or to a term of imprisonment of not less than four years and not more than ten years or to both.
Don’t forget to take all the necessary precautionary measures to stay safe and alive.
- Always wear a nose mask
- Avoid crowded places
- Keep a distance between yourself and other people
- Always wash your hands with soap under running water
- Use alcohol-based hand-sanitizers in the absence of water
- Stay at home when there is no need to be outside
