Dear GhanaWeb reader,
We wish all women and mother figures a Happy Mother’s Day as we continue to survive the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
50% of GhanaWeb staff is female and women hold key roles in various departments of this prestigious media organisation; we salute them with love.
It is time to be strategic than reactive in this economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Layoffs are not the only cost-cutting measures available. There are furloughs and pay cuts which are ideal and a win-win for both employees and employers in trying times.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases are rising. Take all the necessary precautionary measures to stay safe and alive.
  1. Always wear a nose mask
  2. Avoid crowded places
  3. Keep a distance between yourself and other people
  4. Always wash your hands with soap under running water
  5. Use alcohol-based hand-sanitizers in the absence of water
  6. Stay at home when there is no need to be outside
